DALLAS, November 29, 2022 /Business Wire / – Healthmine, a leader in technology-enabled member engagement and reward solutions for health plans, has appointed David DeWinter as Chief Product Officer. DeWinter brings extensive experience in engineering, product development and quality assurance to the company.
It has been a pleasure working with David again after our time together at Extend Health,” said Bryce Williams, Chief Executive Officer at Healthmine. “He was a key contributor there and is already proving to be an exceptional leader of our product team at Healthmine. We’re excited to leverage his depth of experience in product development to grow and evolve Healthmine’s platform and continue to bring significant value to our clients in all markets.”
Over his fifteen-year career, DeWinter has established a strong technical and leadership background guiding engineering and product teams to exceed customer expectations. He joins Healthmine after working at Microsoft on Office 365 products to help commercial customers use the full potential of more than 30 applications and products. He has experience developing healthcare-related software for Extend Health.
DeWinter joins Healthmine during a period of great industry change as health plans grapple with shifting consumer mindsets, new regulations and a growing demand for equitable healthcare initiatives.
“Our healthcare system is host to billions of interactions among plans, providers and members every day, and somewhere in those interactions is a code to unlock better health outcomes, cost savings and operational efficiency,” DeWinter said. “Our job is to find pieces of that code and stitch them into simple solutions that solve the real pain points that plans have today and will have in the near future.”
Healthmine grew products, internal teams and partnerships in 2022. As DeWinter looks ahead to 2023 product strategy, he looks forward to building on Healthmine’s core product solutions and continuing to offer exceptional products and services to health plan clients in all markets.
“I believe Healthmine has a star-powered team and great product that uniquely positions us to make a huge impact on the American health care system,” DeWinter said about joining the Healthmine team. “When I see examples of how we help members achieve better health outcomes at a fraction of the cost, it makes me incredibly excited to join the team to help us get to the next level.”
DeWinter has a master’s degree in Computer Science and is the founder of RowHero, an application that supports coaches and athletes in improving rowing performance. His leadership, product and engineering experience will serve health plan clients searching for strategic guidance for achieving sustainable plan performance improvements in a competitive and evolving market.
