DALLAS, Tex. (Jan. 11, 2022) – Healthmine, a member engagement and rewards technology solutions company for the healthcare industry, is pleased to announce receipt of Wellness and Health Promotion (WHP) certification in Health Appraisal from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This certification applies to Healthmine’s Health Risk Assessment (HRA), a digital-first survey solution that collects and reports on self-reported health and lifestyle data in real time. Healthmine previously received certification in Health Appraisal in 2017 and has maintained its standing with NCQA through two certification cycles.

Healthmine’s HRA offering is utilized by health plans in the Commercial and Medicare markets to administer digital and physical surveys to members, allowing them to efficiently and continuously gather member data, including clinical, non-clinical, and social determinants of health (SDOH). Member responses to the digital HRA become immediately available in a plan-facing dashboarding tool to inform the right interventions to improve care for each specific member.

“I am very pleased with the work Healthmine has done to achieve this certification,” said James Haskins, Director of Government Programs. “Our team works tirelessly to ensure our HRA solution meets NCQA’s high standards to give our clients the best tools to distribute HRAs and achieve maximum completion and compliance rates.”

NCQA Certification is an indication that a WHP program has passed a rigorous review in a specific area: health appraisal, self-management tools, or health coaching. The standards are purposely set high to encourage organizations to achieve the highest level of quality from their products and to create an environment of continuous improvement. No comparable evaluation exists for wellness and health promotion programs.

“I congratulate Healthmine for distinguishing itself by earning Wellness & Health Promotion Certification. This achievement signals to employers that Healthmine is organized and ready to improve workforce health,” explained Margaret E. O’Kane, President of NCQA. “Savvy employers know that the health and wellbeing of their workforce is a critical asset.”

Healthmine’s HRA is made even more powerful when paired with an incentive through a health reward and incentive program. Results have shown as much as 76% completion when paired with a $25 incentive. Using an incentivized, NCQA-certified digital solution like Healthmine’s helps plans better understand their members and accurately identify risk in their population.
